Founded in 1996 by Ross McWilliams and Chris Ballard, McWilliams Ballard is a leading project development sales, marketing and consulting firm based in the DC metropolitan area. To coincide with its 20th anniversary celebration, the firm approached D*MNGOOD to refresh its visual identity, brand look and digital presence. The previous logo was outdated and visually divided the company’s founding partners. The refreshed logotype is set in extended weight and joins the two partners by creating two buildings out of the double letter “L” in both their names. This concept works on several levels, and sets the framework for an entire look and feel that is modern, scalable, flexible and unique. The two buildings from the logo are used as graphic devices across all touch points, from stationery and signage to digital and social. A palette of black and gray is strong but also neutral enough to work with the varying properties that the firm must incorporate into its sales and marketing vehicles.
